The Art of Arrival: Why I Started Over

What Happened to The VIP Voyager?

I started The VIP Voyager in January 2025 and as I’ve grown and changed, so did the business. I eventually realized the name no longer reflected what I was building.

The VIP Voyager was built on the idea of “helping busy people travel better.” As a travel agent, I would provide a service to people who want to travel, but just have too many “brain tabs” open and I wanted to take that load off of their shoulders.

What Hospitality Taught Me About Travel

Late last year, I made a significant change. I decided to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree Hospitality Management with a concentration in Lodging and Tourism instead of continuing with my Business Administration degree. Switching programs and diving fully into the world of hospitality forced me to think differently about my own travel experiences. It also made me think about how I want to be treated as a guest. That realization became the catalyst for The Art of Arrival.

So What Does a Travel Agent Actually Do?

Booking a flight and a hotel is easy. The value of a travel agent comes from connecting all the pieces of your trip into one cohesive experience and handling the details that turn individual bookings into an actual experience.

What makes The Art of Arrival special?

My philosophy is that the trip starts with the ride to the airport and doesn’t end until you’re safely back in your home. So with that thought in mind every detail of your trip is thoughtfully curated to suit your travel style.

Why “The Art of Arrival?”

The way you arrive somewhere can set the tone for your entire experience. Think about how you feel when you’re frantic, running through the airport and watching the clock hoping you don’t miss your flight. That’s no way to begin a vacation. It’s about how you begin an experience. You can walk into your hotel knowing your reservation has already been confirmed and taken care of. Then following checking in, you already know what you’ve chosen to experience and transportation has already been arranged. Luxury isn’t always about having more, its about having fewer things to worry about, and isn’t that what vacation is about?

What if I don’t need a Travel Agent?

Maybe you love planning your own trips or maybe you’re not ready for a travel agent yet. That’s exactly why I created these guides! They’re my way of sharing what I know and helping you travel with a little more intention. These guides include destination information, recommendations and sample itineraries to help you get started!

This is a place for thoughtfully designed travel, useful resources and a different way of thinking about the travel experience whether you’re planning with me or on your own.

Welcome to The Art of Arrival, I’m glad you’re here.
